Today. What a day.
I woke up to discover my younger daughter was sick and our
two cats were in a fight. After I got my youngest settled back in bed and
separated the kitties (one of whom was screaming at the other), I had to rush
off to take my oldest to school. Then, when I arrived to the gym, 18oz of my
32oz water bottle had poured out into my gym bag. ARGH! All this before 8:45am!
Anyway, between sick kids, cat-fights, soggy gym visits, and
a routine physical, there wasn't a whole lot of time to do anything fancy for
today. (Though, I *did* bring an apple crumb pie to my doctor's office as an
offering for the staff. Happy Friday!)
Still, there was
time to do a couple of the fun Halloween craft kits I picked up a couple weeks
ago at AC Moore. The girls each did one painted "stained glass" and then made a magnet with foam stickers. They're only $1 per kit and they're good to have around for
days like today. We also set up an assembly line of sorts and bagged our
Halloween candy for the trick-or-treaters. So we are officially ready for Halloween!
Today is also our 2 year cat-i-versary for the day we
adopted our kitties, Junie B (Jones) and Lucky.

I snapped this picture of
Lucky who just so happened to be set up in front of our tree paintings and next
to our animatronic witch, Hecate. On her shoulder rests Poe the raven. At her feet sits Graymalkin the cat. In her cauldron: eyeballs, newts, a snake...you know, ingredients.
As I said, the cats were fighting today, so Junie B hung out elsewhere.
